Deze week is het Wendy's beurt om de sketch te verzorgen van de Dutch Card Lovers Challenge blog. Ik heb hem deze keer een kwart slag gedraaid...lol.. En ik heb mijn nieuwe stempel van de herfstkit van Whiff of Joy gebruikt. :)) Het papiertje daarachter heb ik door een ribbelmaker gehaald en met inkt bewerkt. Door de bloem heb ik een zelfgemaakte pin gedaan, dat is alweer even geleden dat gedaan heb en ik vondt het wel leuk om dat weer eens te doen.

This week it's Wendy's turn to look after the sketch from the Dutch Card Lovers Challenge blog. I turned the sketch a quarter ( I hope this is right in English )....lol... And I used my new stamp from the fall kit of Whiff of Joy. I put the paper behind the image through a ribbelmaker and disstressed it with Ranger Distress ink. I also made a pin and put it behind the button of the flower. It's been a while sinds I made a pin.

En de binnekant met deze keer eens een Nederlandse tekst inplaatst van Engels. And the inside of the card with this time a Dutch sentiment instead of the English one. The sentiment say's : Enjoy every moment.

Friday Sketches en Stampin for the Weekend

Ik heb hier 2 sketches gecombineerd namelijk die van Friday Sketches ( daar heb ik de sketch van gebruikt ) en Stampin for the Weekend waar het deze week een kleurencombi grijs en rose is. Eigenlijk had ik hem ook mee willen laten doen met Cute Card Thursday waar het thema Lazy days of summer is en daar vondt ik deze afbeelding wel leuk bij horen. Helaas ben ik te laat voor deze challenge. ;)) Dit is voor mij een ongebruikelijke kleurencombinatie en zeker met deze jongensstempel moet je uitkijken dat die niet te zoet wordt. Vandaar dat ik voor de bloemen e.d. wat stoerdere kleuren gebruikt hebt en het rose alleen voor accent en achtergrond.

I combined 2 challenges, Friday Sketches ( I used the sketch ) and Stampin for the Weekend where the theme is a colourcombo grey and pink. Actually I wanted to join the challenge from Cute Card Thursday too, where the theme is Lazy days of Summer,but I was to late. The image was nice for this challenge. This is a unusually colourcombo for me and certainly when you use a boy's stamp. I didn't use to much pink only for the background and accent, otherwise it will get to sweet. So for the flowers ect. I used more sturdy colours.

Dutch Card Lovers Sketch 13

Ik had niet verwacht dat het mij zou lukken om deze week een kaart te maken. Het is een week met veel emoties waar we deze week afscheid van mijn moeder hebben genomen. De uitvaart is gegaan zoals mijn moeder het wilde, eenvoudig en alleen met familie en wat vrienden om haar heen.
Nu proberen we ons leven weer op te pakken en een beetje te hobbyen. En ondanks alles is het toch gelukt om iets uit mijn handen te krijgen.

I didn't think I could make a card this week. This week was verry emotional. The funeral of my mother was how she wanted it. Simple and only with the family and some friends.
Now we try to move on. I tryed to hobby and to my surprise I managed to make a card.

Dit afdrukje van Motivet heb ik een keer gekregen en die vindt ik zo lief. :)) Ik vondt het leuk om deze kaart met de combinatie rood, creme en zwart te maken. Heeft wel iets sjieks, niet?

Someone gave me this lovely image from Motivet, it's so cute don't you think? :)) I liked to use the colours, red, black and creme. It's nice isn't it?
Deze week heeft Natasja de sketch bij Dutch Card Lovers verzorgd. En natuurlijk zoals jullie gewend zijn heb ik ook de binnenkant gedaan. Ik blijf dat leuk vinden om te doen. :))

De groene blaadjes bij de bloem heb ik bij Cute Stamps and Cards vandaan.Zij hebben verschillende soorten blaadjes, erg leuk. Ik zag dat zij weer erg leuke spullen hebben binnen gekregen.Jammie!!

Ik heb deze week even een time out aangezien mijn moeder gisteravond overleden is en mijn hoofd even niet staat naar kaarten maken en bloggen.

I have a time out this week. My mother passed away last night and I need a little break for myself. I'm not into cardmaking and blogging at the moment.

Ik heb hier de sketch van Create4Fun gebruikt en gecombineerd met de challenge van Simon Says Stamp waar het thema lint en knopen is. Door de drukte en doordat ik inkt op de afbeelding liet vallen en die dus overnieuw moest doen is hij te laat voor de challenge van Create4Fun. Maar dat mag de pret niet drukken...lol..

For this card I used the sketch from Create4Fun and combined it with the challenge from Simon Says Stamps where the theme is ribbon and buttons. I was quite bussy the last days and because I dropped some inkt on the image I had to do it over again and couldn't make it in time for the challenge from Create4Fun. I didn't had my day...lol..

Ik wou zo graag dit lieve stempeltje gebruiken van de Greeting Farm, een heerlijk plaatje om in te kleuren ook. :)) Ik wou mijzelf eens extra uitdagen door een kaart in grijstinten te maken, maar alleen grijs was een beetje saai dus heb ik bordeau rood erbij gebruikt voor accenten en dat haalt hem helemaal op. Ik had geen lint in die kleur maar wel biasband van satijn dus die heb ik opengestreken en met een kartelschaar een randje geknipt. Ik heb hem hier als een borderrandje gebruikt en als bloem.

I wanted to use this lovely image from the Greeting Farm, this is a great image to colour. :)) I also wanted to challenge myself extra by making a card in grey colours, but only grey is a little boring so I used bordeaured as an extra colour for accents. I didn't had ribbon in those colours so I used biasband ( don't know the name in english, sorry ) from satin and ironed it flat, then I used a scissor to get this image ( don't know this in english either ) and made a border and flower from it.

In de binnenkant heb ik een foto hoekpons van Tom Pas gebruikt waar ik het cardstock doorheen gestoken heb. Ik vondt dit wel eens een keer wat anders. ;)

On the inside I used a photo corner punch from Tom Pas so I could put the cardstock through it. It's something different than usually. ;)

While posting my entry by Simon Says Stamp I see I made a mistake. The theme isn't ribbon and buttons but bows and buttons. Oeps,..sorry...but I was close...lol...:))

Deze week is de uitdaging van Patricia bij de challenge van Dutch Card Lovers om de kleuren van deze foto te gebruiken op je kaartje en tenminstte 1 dier erop te verwerken. De rest mag je helemaal zelf verzinnen.

This week it's Patricia's turn to challenge us at the Dutch Card Lovers challenge blog. And she came up with this picture and challenged us to use these colours on the card and 1 or more animals. The rest is up to you.

Ik had zin om eens geen standaard maat te gebruiken maar iets met de nestebilities uit te snijden en dat als basis te gebruiken van mijn kaart. Ook de binnenkant wou ik eens iets anders doen zoals een inham maken waar je een tag in kan steken. En dit is hem dus geworden.

I wanted to do something different than the normal size standard card. So I used one of my Nestebilities as a basic for my card. Also I wanted to do something different in the inside , like a place to put a tag in. So I came up with this card.

Ik heb hier de Penny Black stempels gebruikt. De grote bloem heb ik uitgeknipt en er een grote roze brad doorheen gedaan met daarop een halve parel. Tussen de brad heb ik wat takjes geschoven.

I used the stamps from Penny Black. I cut out the big flower and placed a big pink brad in the heart with on top a half pearl. I also put some twigs between the brad.

Zo ziet hij eruit als je de kaart opent.

De linkerkant. Ik heb een paar rondjes uitgeponst en op de swirls geplakt met daarop een strasssteentje in het midden.

The leftside. I cut out some rounds en placed them on the swirl with a strassstone on top.

De rechterkant. Hier heb ik een paar bloemen uitgeknipt en als 3D opgeplakt met ook daarop strasssteentjes.

The rightside. I cut out some flowers and put them as 3D on the card and placed some strassstones in the heart of the flower.
