I'm Back Again :))

Na een maand zonder pc gezeten te hebben ben ik eindelijk weer online. Met dank aan mijn schoonzoon die de pc gerepareerd heeft. :))
Hieronder nog even een paar kaartjes die ik gemaakt had voor het Dutch Card Lovers Challenge Blog van vorige maand.
De Challenge van Yvon was gebruik 5 of meer knopen op je kaart. Ik heb er een kerstkaart van gemaakt.

Underneath a few cards that I made for last month Challenges at the Dutch Card Lovers Challenge Blog.
Yvon's Challenge was to use 5 or more Buttons on your card. I made a Christmas card.

En Marianne had een sketch gemaakt voor ons en daar is dit kaartje uit voort gekomen. Deze stempel van Mo Manning vindt ik zo gaaf en daar moest gewoon een beetje een komische kaart mee gemaakt worden...lol...

Afgelopen maand zijn wij ook met vakantie geweest naar Engeland en hier een kleine impressie van onze vakantie.
Last month we also went on vacation to England so here is a little impression of our vacation.

De kust van Dover, ik blijf dit een prachtig gezicht vinden als je aankomt die mooie witte krijtrotsen.

Ons eerste huisje is een Cottage van 450 jaar oud in Livingstone Lovell, klein, knus maar heel gezellig. Hier is een foto van de voorkant en achterkant van het huis.

Our first Cottage  where we stayed was 450 years old. It's a lovely small and cozy Cottage in Livingstone Lovell. here ae some pictures of the front and the backside of the house.

We zijn naar een Houtdraai evenement geweest. Dat is mijn man zijn hobby. ;) Hier wat houtsnijwerk wat tentoongesteld was.

We went to a Woodturning event. That is my husbands hobby. ;) Here are a few woodcarving projects they showed.

En we zijn ook naar een Scrap en Stempel evenment voor mij geweest in Londen in het Alexandra Palace. Ik had wat groters verwacht maar het bleek heel klein te zijn zoals je op de foto ziet. ;)  Het was wel in een heel mooi gebouw.

We also went to a Scrap and Stamp event for me in Londen that was held in the Alexandra Palace. I expexted something big but as you can see on the picture it was a small one. ;) It was a beautiful biulding it was held in.

Ons volgende huisje was in Amotherby en mooi groot en ruim opgezet en lag erg afgelegen. :)
Our next cottage was in Amotherby and was big, with a lot of space and was in the middle of knowwhere. :)

We zijn naar York geweest en daar waren straten en huizen ondergelopen door het wateroverlast van de vele regen de afgelopen dagen.
We went to York and the last past days we had a lot of rain that made that houses and streets where under water.

York is een prachtige stad met schitterende oude huiszen en winkelstraten.
York is a beautiful town with old buildings and shopping streets.

In het park kwamen we deze eekhoorns tegen. Grappig om die in het midden van de stad te zien.
In the park we saw these chipmunks. Kind of funny to seen them in the middle of the town.

 

 

We hebben een rit door de Moors gemaakt. Schitterende omgeving.
We drove through the Moors, this is really beautiful.

We niet veel gedaan deze keer. Het was voornamelijk een rust vakantie vanwege mijn man zijn gezondheid. We hebben nog wel een paar keer onze vrienden opgezocht in Leeds en verder veel gelezen.

We didn't do much this vacation because of my husbands health. So it was more a relax vacation. We went a couple of times to Leeds to meet our friends and did a lot of reading.

Dit is hem tot zover. Hopelijk tot snel met weer nieuw kaartjes/lay-outs etc. ;)

So Many Of My Smiles Begin With You

Anja heeft deze week een leuke Challenge bedacht bij de Dutch Card Lovers. Je moest je laten inspireren door deze foto. Dat kan door de kleuren of de vorm etc...

Today Anja made us a nice Challenge at the Dutch Card Lovers Challenge  Blog. Just be inspired by this picture. It might be the colours or the shape etc....

Heerlijk die vrolijke zomerse kleuren. Op de beurs in Den Bosch had ik de nieuwe Set Summer Distress Inkt gekocht van Tim Holtz en die kon ik dus mooi gebruiken voor mijn kaartje. Ook de nieuwe stempels van Papertray Ink die ik op het SA Forum overgenomen had wilde ik graag gebruiken. En wat zijn die stempels leuk. :)) Zo leuk dat je ermee in laagjes werken kan doordat je  een voor en achtergrond hebt en  ook nog in 2 verschillende maten. Zie hier het resultaat.
De achtergrond heb ik dubbel geembossed ( zie hier een tutorial daarover ) en op de bloem heb ik roze stickles gedaan zodat het iets glinstert.
Kijk voor meer voorbeelden bij de andere DT leden, zij hebben prachtige kaarten gemaakt. :))

I love these summer colours. On the convention in Den Bosch I bought the new Summer Set Distress Ink from Tim Holtz so I was glad that I could use it for my card. I also used my new stamps I bought second hand from someone on the SA forum. These stamps are so beautiful. I love that you can stamp in layers and that you have a front and a background and also have the image in 2 sizes.
Here is the result of my card.
I dubble embossed the background ( look here for a tutorial ) and I also put some pink stickles on the flower to give it some sparkle.

En dit is mijn uitwerking geworden. Ik heb hiervoor designpapier van KC Company  gebruikt.
And this is my take of the sketch. I used designpapers from KC Company.

Washi Tape

Deze week is het mijn beurt om de Challenge te bedenken bij de de Dutch Card Lovers. Aangezien Washi Tape op het moment zo in is leek het mij leuk jullie uit te dagen om Washi Tope op je kaart te gebruiken.
Ik heb op de achtergrond stroken Washi Tape op een stuk cardstock geplakt en op maat gesneden. De bloem heb ik uitgestanst nadat ik op een kleiner stukje papier stroken washi tape geplakt had. En zeg nou zelf, geeft het geen leuk effect? :)) Ik ga dit zeker vaker gebruiken. ;)
Het Washi Tape wat ik gebruikt hebt komt bij de Hema vandaan. In mijn voorraad vondt ik nog een bijpassende kleur knoop waardoor ik scrappersfloss door de knoopsgaten gedaan hebt. De quote is van Fiskars. De binnenkant heb ik ook maar weer eens gedaan. ;)

This week it's my turn to come up with the Challenge at the Dutch Card Lovers Challenge Blog. At the moment Washi Tape is hot in the scrapworld. So I thought it would be nice to use Washi Tape on your card.
I attached strokes of Washi Tape on cardstock and cut it to the size for the background. I also cut the flower out of Washi Tape after I attached strokes on a smaller piece of cardstock. Doesn't this look great? :)) I love the effect this gives and I'm going to use it more often. ;)
The Washi Tape I used I bought at the Hema. I found a matching button in my stash and attached scrappersfloss to the button. The quote is from Fiskars. I also did the inside again. ;)

Eindelijk heb ik dit abumpje af kunnen maken van de week. Ik heb hem gemaakt na aanleiding van een tutorial die ik tegen kwam op You-Tube van CharlieJones2686 waar zij laat zien hoe je zelf de enveloppen maakt en vervolgens ze inbind tot een album. Dat idee vondt ik heel leuk en ik besloot er een kerstalbumpje van te maken. De foto's moeten nog gemaakt worden eind van't jaar maar dan is het albumpje alvast klaar. ;)
Ik heb hem gemaakt met het schitterende papier van Graphic 45.

Finally I had the chance to finish the album I was working on. I came across a lovely tutorial on You-Tube by CharlieJones2686 where she show you how to make these enveloppes and bind them into a mini album. I loved that idea so I made a Christmas album. I don't have the photo's yet, I have to make them at  the end of the year. But then the album is ready. ;)

Bij de Dutch Dares hebben ze een nieuwe Challenge erop staan. Deze keer met een sketch. Die vondt ik zo leuk dat ik er deze LO mee gemaakt hebt van ons bezoek aan De Apenheul in Apeldoorn.
Ik heb met touw waarin ik knopen gemaakt hebt en kralen doorheen geregen geprobeerd een beetje het klimtouw van de apen na te bootsen. Dat geeft het een beetje een speels effect. ;)
Daaronder een paar close-ups van de LO.

There is a new Challenge at the Dutch Dares Challenge Blog. This time they have a sketch that I really love. So I made this LO from our trip to the Park De Apenheul in Apeldoorn.
I made knots in the twine and attached some beads to give that playfull look, like it is some kind of rope for the monkey's to climb in.
I also made some close-ups from the LO.
